Dr. Koepsel has retired from practice. We wish him the best of luck.
Dr. Koepsel joined Bay Area Podiatry in 1985, after completing his Doctor of Podiatric Medical Degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine, and completing a two year residency program at Hayward Vesper Hospital in Hayward, California and surgical training at Kaiser Permenente Hospital in Sacramento. Dr. Koepsel is active in numerous podiatric associations, and prides himself in learning the newest procedures for optimal patient care.
Dr. Koepsel graduated valedictorian from the California College of Podiatric Medicine, after which he completed surgical residency training at Hayward Vesper Hospital in Hayward, California. During his final year of surgical training at Kaiser Permenente Hospital in Sacramento, he had the distinction of being appointed chief resident. Following surgical residency he immediately joined Dr. Thomas Garrison in Clear Lake, Texas, creating the current partnership called Bay Area Podiatry Associates. The partnering was based on the common philosophy of both doctors to provide the best foot care available in the Clear Lake area.
Since beginning private practice, Dr. Koepsel has been active in his profession, holding various offices including the Harris County Podiatric Medical Society and Texas Podiatric Medical Association where he has served as the president. He is also involved with promotion of his profession and actively pursuing legislative issues concerning managed care that face our community, our state, and our Nation. To help equip and prepare him in this challenge, Dr. Koepsel has successfully completed an exclusive MBA program for physicians offered by the University of Houston Clear Lake.
Dr. Koepsel is the father of two children, Kevin and Katie and lives in Clear Lake Shores, Texas.
